Help

In the beer garden, Balduin, a student of Prague, leaves his rystering companions. He is scarcely seated in a quiet corner when a hideous, shriveled-up old man taps him on the shoulder and whispers vaguely of a big inheritance for Prague's finest swordsman and wildest student if he will enter into a certain agreement. Balduin rebuffs him, satirically asking his weird companion to procure him "the luckiest ticket in a lottery or a doweried wife." The old man goes off chuckling, and thence onward, persistently shadows Balduin, exerting a sinister influence over him while Balduin is still disconsolate under the frowns of fortune.

The Student of Prague (1913)

Lon Chaney stars as a criminal on the run who comes up with the perfect disguise to hide in a circus. He soon falls in love with the daughter of the circus owner, Nano, but Nano despises him. Will he get the girl he loves and stay out of trouble?

The Unknown (1927)

In a quiet European village, a series of alarming incidents occurs as corpses drained of blood mysteriously begin to surface, leading the frightened locals to suspect that vampirism may be the dark force behind these gruesome events.

The Vampire Bat (1933)

Based on a novel and subsequent stage play by Agatha Christie, ten people are invited to an isolated island, only to be killed one-by-one. Could one of them be the killer? One of the best Agatha Christie adaptations.

And Then There Were None (1945)

After a young woman kills a man in self-defense, a witness to the murder blackmails her. The 1920's crime thriller is one of Alfred Hitchcock's earlier directorial films and became the first British talkie.

Blackmail (1929)

John Carradine plays French serial killer Bluebeard, who paints pictures of women and strangles them to death. Finely woven, suspenseful, and complex, Bluebeard is an underrated movie worthy of your time.

Bluebeard (1944)

After a missing heir is tragically killed just before he can claim his substantial inheritance, renowned detective Charlie Chan steps in to investigate the perplexing and mysterious circumstances surrounding the murder, seeking justice for the victim.

Charlie Chans Secret (1936)

Warning: this is a trashy fantasy movie! Two incredibly musclebound men find themselves pitted against a fierce tribe of Amazon women. Packed with ridiculous antics and over-the-top action, this film is a must-see for fans of 1960s cinematic trash!

Colossus And The Amazon Queen (1960)

Trashy horror warning! Experimenting in hypnotic regression to past lives, Dr. Edmund Redding of the Cowan Institute in Pasadena has discovered that Ann Taylor is a reincarnated Aztec woman. Rated 1-star for all its trashiness!

Face of The Screaming Werewolf (1964)

After a couple moves into an abandoned house with a dark past, where a horrific murder occurred decades earlier, the wife begins to unravel, losing her grip on reality, while her husband harbors a dangerous secret he will do anything to conceal from her.

Gaslight (1940)
